MAHA SHIVRATRI was celebrated on a grand scale on 2-3 March 2011 at the Shiv Mandir, Taiping. In addition to the huge local crowd, large numbers of devotees came from all over Malaysia and Singapore. Bus transport and accommodation had also been arranged for devotees from the Klang Valley who wished to join in the celebrations. The programme included various prayers, a chariot procession of Lord Shiva & Mata Parvati, bhajan and kirtan by devotees and Maha Abhishek. Sumptuous meals were served for all those who attended the celebrations over the two days. |
