On completion of the reconstruction of the Shiv Mandir Taiping, an elaborate five-day programme of prayers, poojas, mantra recitations and havans was organised. The CONSECRATION PRAYERS OF SHIV MANDIR, TAIPING & the MAHA KUMBH ABHISHEK were conducted with great pomp and splendour from Wednesday, 28 January 2009 to Sunday, 1 February 2009. Thousands of devotees gathered to celebrate and to participate in this auspicious event. An intricate series of prayers and ceremonies were conducted by priests brought in especially from India in collaboration with the in-house priest of the Shiv Mandir, Taiping. |
