In order not to become obsolete and also not to deprive their patients of the best possible care, doctors have a moral obligation to actively pursue Continuing Medical Education (CME).
In a hospital environment, a programme of clinical demonstrations, ward rounds, pathological conferences, journal clubs and discussion groups is part of the normal routine. The situation is a little more difficult for the General Practitioner who, more often than not, sits in comparative isolation and faces tight constraints of time and resources.
The Internet offers a wide range of CME activities and resources, and this page attempts to facilitate better access to those areas which would be of interest especially to the General Practitioner.
